Onsite: This role is categorized as onsite. This means the successful candidate is expected to report to Concord, NC on a full-time basis. The Role GM Motorsports Performance Engineering is looking to expand its motorsports engineering group. With the expanded program, we are adding a Sportscar Vehicle Testing & Instrumentation Engineer position. This role would work with the GM Motorsports Testing & Instrumentation group to support Cadillac LMDh and Corvette GT3 programs in data acquisition, instrumentation, and testing of race or test vehicles in any stage of track testing, lab testing, or racing. The position work with the racing programs during all stages of life. What You’ll Do: • Data acquisition and instrumentation of race and test vehicles • Support vehicle testing at various stages: track, lab, and race environments • Collaborate with racing programs throughout their lifecycle • Perform test data analysis during and immediately after tests/races • Travel is not regularly required , but live support may be requested for track tests, lab tests, and select elect key races What You’ll Need (Required Qualifications): • 3+ years racing / high performance vehicle experience • Professional Racing Data Acquisition experience • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and act on test data • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment • Willingness to travel occasionally for live support at tests and races • Participation in racing, either professional or amateur, highly desired • This job may be eligible for relocation benefits What Will Give You a Competitive Edge (Preferred Qualifications): • Bachelor of Science in Engineering • Experience with Bosch WinDarab DAQ • Experience with Motec i2 • Cosworth Pi Research DAQ experience • Wind Tunnel experience • Strong knowledge of vehicle dynamics and/or Aerodynamics • DFSS Black Belt GM DOES NOT PROVIDE IMMIGRATION-RELATED SPONSORSHIP FOR THIS ROLE.
