Retail Operations Assistant

Position Type: Part-time (25-29 hours per week)
Position Overview:
Hendrick Motorsports, a leading NASCAR operation, is seeking a motivated and customer-focused Retail Operations Assistant to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will assist customers with merchandise-related questions, process sales, and maintain the store’s appearance. You will play a key part in ensuring a positive experience for our fans and customers by delivering excellent service and managing retail operations efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
• Greet customers and assist them with their merchandise needs.
• Describe, recommend, and explain the use, operation, and care of products.
• Process sales transactions including calculating sales prices, processing payments (cash or credit), and issuing receipts.
• Maintain current knowledge of store promotions, sales, and policies regarding exchanges and returns.
• Keep the store clean, organized, and visually appealing for customers.
• Ticket, arrange, and display merchandise to attract customers and promote sales.
• Answer customer inquiries and resolve any concerns regarding the store and products.
• Handle merchandise exchanges, returns, and process sales contracts.
• Assist with inventory stock management and ensure products are properly displayed.
• Open and close cash registers, including balancing cash drawers and making deposits.

• Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact with a wide range of customers.
• Ability to work efficiently and independently, following store policies and procedures.
• Basic computer skills and the ability to learn new systems.
• Ability to maintain a professional, clean, and welcoming environment for customers.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Qualifications:
• High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required.
• Previous retail experience is preferred.
• Must be able to work part-time (25-29 hours per week).
