Work Arrangement:   Onsite: This role is categorized as onsite. We are seeking Motorsport Engineering interns to do complex analytical work that would positively contribute to the bottom line of our culture, company, and motorsports program. In this role, you will have the opportunity to support vehicle performance initiatives within the GM Motorsports Team. Projects will likely require an application of vehicle dynamics principles and programing knowledge to existing simulation tools to analyze data and develop solutions addressing vehicle performance or strategy needs within our IndyCar, NASCAR, Sportscar, and F1 programs. Work requires leadership ability, critical thinking, and strong communication skills, and will allow the intern to exercise independent judgement with mentorship from supervisors. Required Qualifications:      • Pursuit of a Bachelor’s degree in one of the following areas: Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, or a related field. • Must be graduating between December 2026 - June 2028 • Able to work fulltime, 40 hours per week during the summer months What will give you a Competitive Edge (Preferred Qualifications):    • Strong interest in controls engineering, aerodynamics, vehicle dynamics, dynamic systems, optimization, data analytics and tire performance and race strategy. • Familiarity with MATLAB, python, and/or .NET programming technology Start dates for this internship role are May 18 & June 15 of 2026.
