Marine and Motorsport Sales Associate

**Job Title: Sales Associate / Sales Assistant** • *Location**: Port Alberni • *Department**: Sales • *Industry**: Marine & Powersports • *Reports To**: Sales Manager • *Job Summary**: • *Key Responsibilities**: - Greet and engage customers in the showroom or lot, providing product information and guidance on boats, ATVs, and related accessories. - Assist the sales team in generating leads, preparing quotes, and finalizing sales. - Maintain up-to-date product knowledge, including specifications, pricing, promotions, and industry trends. - Support inventory management by ensuring units are clean, properly displayed, and well-stocked with brochures or sales materials. - Coordinate with service and parts departments to ensure smooth customer transactions. - Assist with customer follow-ups, test drives, demos, and delivery scheduling. - Help maintain the dealership's showroom appearance and promotional displays. - Process basic sales documentation and ensure accurate record-keeping. - Attend product training sessions and dealership meetings as needed. - Provide administrative support to the sales and marketing team as needed - Perform any other duties as assigned • *Qualifications**: - Previous retail or sales experience preferred, preference given to those with experience in the marine or powersports industry. - Knowledge of boats, outboard motors, trailers, ATVs, or related equipment is a strong asset. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. - Strong organizational skills with attention to detail. - Ability to work weekends and flexible hours based on dealership needs. - Valid driver’s license; boating or ATV license is a plus. - Physically able to move and display outdoor equipment when required. - Excellent communication skills and ability to handle difficult situations calmly and confidently - Knowledge of computer systems including Microsoft office, Outlook and Excel - Driven to achieve results - Accountable with strong work ethic and consistent attendance - Highly organized with strong time management skills - Ability to work independently and complete daily activities according to work schedule • *What We Offer**: - Competitive hourly wage plus performance-based bonuses. - Product training and development opportunities. - Employee discounts on parts and services. - A dynamic work environment centered around boating, off-roading, and outdoor adventure. • *Salary** - Based pay on experience - Commission Pay - Job Types: Full-time, Permanent • *Benefits**: - Dental, health, and medical care - On-site parking - Paid time off - Store discount • *Schedule**: - 8 hour shift Tuesday - Saturday • *Job Types**: Full-time, Commission, Permanent Pay: $55,000.00-$65,000.00 per year • *Benefits**: - Dental care - On-site parking - Paid time off - Store discount - Vision care Shift: - 8 hour shift Work Location: In person
