This critical role ensures the safety and smooth operation of race events by monitoring the track, communicating with Race Control, and responding to incidents. Description Position Overview As a Main Car Race Track Corner Marshall, you will be responsible for monitoring assigned track sections, enforcing race safety procedures, and promptly responding to incidents. This role requires vigilance, quick decision-making, and excellent communication with Race Control and other corner marshalls. Key Responsibilities Track Monitoring & Safety • Observe and monitor assigned track sections for hazards, debris, and irregularities. • Use flags and signals to communicate track conditions to drivers. • Maintain a high level of alertness and concentration throughout events. Incident Response & Track Operations • Respond promptly to on-track incidents, including mechanical failures and collisions. • Assist with clearing debris and ensuring a safe racing environment. • Work closely with Race Control to report track conditions and driver behavior. Communication & Flagging • Maintain constant communication with Race Control and fellow marshals via radio. • Display the correct flags at the appropriate times to inform drivers of track conditions. • Follow all race regulations and safety procedures. Pre-Race & Post-Race Responsibilities • Attend pre-race briefings and receive track assignments. • Inspect and set up flagging equipment, radios, and other tools. • Assist with post-race cleanup and debriefings to discuss event operations and improvements. What We’re Looking For ? Minimum Age: 18+ (to comply with safety regulations and occupational hazard requirements) ? High School Diploma or Equivalent Preferred ? Previous Motorsport or Safety Experience (Preferred, Not Required) ? Strong Observational & Communication Skills ? Ability to Stay Focused & Make Quick Decisions Under Pressure ? Physical Fitness for Standing Long Hours & Responding to Incidents ? Basic First Aid & Emergency Response Knowledge (Preferred, Not Required) ? Reliable Transportation Required Physical & Work Environment Requirements • Ability to perform bending, reaching, lifting up to 30 lbs, and standing for extended periods. • Comfortable working outdoors in extreme weather conditions (heat, cold, light rain). • Exposure to loud noise levels and fast-moving vehicles.
