Our mission is to deliver reliable, well-engineered vehicles that help our customers succeed at every level of the sport. As we expand our operations in Indiana, we're looking for motivated professionals to grow with us and contribute to our long-term vision. Position Overview This is a hands-on, entry-level to early-experience role for someone who loves working on cars, wants to learn the details of race car assembly, and takes pride in clean, organized work. You’ll assist with the build process, manage sub-assemblies, and help make sure every car leaves the shop looking and feeling professional and race-ready. Key Responsibilities • Assist the Lead Car Builder with assembly of Sebeco race cars following build sheets and checklists. • Install and prep sub-systems such as suspension components, pedal assemblies, cockpit trim, plumbing, and hardware kits. • Help with basic mechanical tasks: mounting components, routing lines/hoses, and performing simple adjustments under supervision. Sub-Assembly & Fit/Finish • Take ownership of sub-assembly tasks (e.g., building uprights, control arms, brake packages, bodywork, etc.) for use on multiple cars. • Perform vehicle fit/finish tasks, including bodywork trim, hardware checks, labeling, and visual inspection. • Support final detailing of cars prior to delivery, including cleaning, decals (as directed), and presentation. Cleanliness & Organization • Maintain a clean, organized workbench and personal tool area throughout the day. • Help keep the shop tidy by sweeping, taking out trash, organizing parts bins, and returning shared tools. • Assist with basic inventory organization: labeling parts, restocking common items, and flagging low stock to the lead or inventory team Collaboration & Growth • Take direction from the Lead Car Builder and Production Manager, asking questions when unsure. • Follow all shop safety procedures and use tools correctly. • Gradually take on more responsibility as skills and experience grow. Qualifications • 2+ years of experience working on cars (shop, race team, dealership, performance shop, or personal project background). • Basic mechanical skills and familiarity with hand tools, torque tools, and measuring tools. • Genuine interest in motorsport, race cars, and performance vehicles. • Ability to follow instructions, build sheets, and checklists accurately. • Strong attention to detail and pride in clean, tidy work and quality workmanship. • Ability to perform physical tasks typical of a shop environment (standing, lifting, bending). • Positive attitude, eagerness to learn, and comfort in a small, fast-growing team environment. • Valid driver’s license. Preferred Skills • Experience working on race cars, track cars, or performance builds (even at a club/grassroots level). • Some exposure to basic wiring, plumbing (hoses/fittings), or brake system bleeding. • Experience with detailing, car cleaning, or vehicle presentation. • Familiarity with shop safety practices and basic power tools. Benefits • Unlimited PTO (responsible use, coordinated with the team and build schedules). • Healthcare stipend to help offset medical insurance costs. • Opportunity to develop into a Lead Car Builder role as skills and experience increase. • Hands-on experience with purpose-built endurance race cars and a growing motorsport company. Why Join Sebeco Motorsport? At Sebeco, we build more than just cars — we build a culture of innovation, precision, and pride.
