Essential Duties and Responsibilitiesinclude the following: • Responsible for shop and break room clean-up, including but not limited to, sweeping, mopping, and scrubbing. • Responsible for cleaning thepieceparts that have been removed and routed to the cleaning department after the engine has been disassembled. • Remove grease build-up, corrosion products, etc., as well as prepare parts for the next overhaul step using various cleaning compounds and chemical solutions, spray guns, brushes, etc. • Complete forms associated with work assignments according to established procedures. • Responsible for the completion of assigned shop tasks and projects, including providing support to other technicians to complete necessary work ina timelymanner. • Maintain a safe, clean, and neat work environment through proper housekeeping and organization. DesiredEducation: • GED • High School Diploma Desired Work Experience: • up to 3 years Education/Experience: • Intermediate mechanical and technical aptitude desired. • Technical training in automotive manufacturinga plus. Certificates and Licenses: • Valid Driver’s License Computer Skills: • Basic computer skillsrequired. Physical Demands: • Requires vision (near, distance, depth), sense of touch, and ability to wearPersonal Protective Equipment (PPE) – safety glasses, hearing protection. • Constantly manually manipulates,squatsor kneels, bends, lifts/carries up to 20 pounds, and pushes/pulls 12 pounds or less. • Frequently stands, walks, sits, reaches outward,reaches above shoulder, lifts/carries up to 50 pounds, and pushes/pulls up to 25 pounds. Occasionally climbs, crawls, lifts/carries up to and over 100 pounds, and pushes/pulls up to 100 pounds.
