Overview Nitro Motorsports is seeking a skilled and passionate Motorsports Technician to join our dynamic team in the TransAm TA2 Series. This role involves maintaining, repairing, and optimizing high-performance vehicles used in competitive racing and motorsports events. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive repair, mechanical systems, and customer service, with a focus on precision and efficiency. Experience in dealership service, automotive diagnostics, and mechanical knowledge is highly valued. Duties • Perform comprehensive vehicle diagnostics to identify issues and determine necessary repairs or modifications. • Conduct routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, brake repairs, suspension work, and vehicle assembly. • Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and soldering techniques to repair or upgrade vehicle components. • Assist with the installation of performance parts and custom modifications tailored for racing specifications. • Conduct heavy lifting and physical tasks required for vehicle assembly and maintenance. • Ensure all work complies with safety standards and manufacturer specifications. • Maintain detailed records of repairs, modifications, and maintenance activities for each vehicle. • Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot complex mechanical problems efficiently. • Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs and maintenance procedures clearly to clients when necessary. Skills • Proven dealership or service technician experience with a strong background in automotive repair. • Expertise in automotive diagnostics, mechanical systems, brake repair, suspension work, and vehicle maintenance. • Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and soldering techniques. • Mechanical knowledge of automotive components including engines, transmissions, and chassis systems. • Experience with assembly processes for high-performance or racing vehicles. • Strong understanding of automotive repair standards and safety protocols. • Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during vehicle repairs or modifications. • Excellent problem-solving skills combined with attention to detail. • Customer service skills to communicate effectively with clients about technical issues when required.
