Motorsports Propulsion Engine Controls Technical Specialist

About the position GM Motorsports competes across multiple racing series, each utilizing distinct engine architectures that demand advanced torque management, precise engine controls, and seamless systems integration. This role is responsible for defining propulsion performance metrics for GM Motorsports, enhancing overall performance, and developing complementary tools and strategic guidance for programs employing similar control systems. Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering or related field of study

• 7+ years of professional experience

• Motorsports or performance vehicle engine program experience is required

• Vehicle and dyno engine calibration experience

• Knowledge of combustion system development

• Motorsport control system integration to vehicle beyond dyno

• Strong knowledge engine operation

• Simulation model understanding and correlation experience

• Experience in early-stage program development across production and/or motorsports applications

• Proven expertise as a subject matter authority in propulsion control systems, ideally with hands-on implementation and optimization experience
