Job Title: Racetrack Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) Location: Amarillo Motorsports Park, Panhandle, TX Job Type: Full-Time Job Summary Amarillo Motorsports Park is seeking a dedicated and vigilant full-time Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) to provide rapid-response medical care at our motorcycle and karting facility. As a critical member of the track safety team, you will be responsible for the immediate assessment and treatment of participants, staff, and spectators in a high-speed racing environment. This role requires exceptional situational awareness, the ability to remain calm under pressure, and a deep commitment to track safety protocols.Essential Duties & Responsibilities • Trackside Response: Provide immediate emergency medical response to on-track incidents involving motorcycles and karts. • Patient Care: Perform patient assessments and deliver life-saving interventions, including Basic Life Support (BLS), trauma care, and stabilization of fractures or head injuries. • Safety Integration: Maintain working knowledge of racing-specific safety equipment, including vehicle power kill switches, on-board fire suppression systems, and specialized helmet removal techniques. • Incident Management: Coordinate with track marshals and fire suppression teams for safe vehicle recovery and patient extraction. • Medical Transport: Facilitate patient transfer to local emergency services or air medical transport if required. • Facility Readiness: Conduct daily inspections of medical equipment, trackside trauma bags, and response vehicles to ensure 100% operational readiness. • Documentation: Complete detailed patient care reports (PCRs) for all medical incidents and maintain accurate records of trackside medical supplies. Qualifications & Skills • Certification: Current Texas EMT-Basic, Advanced EMT, or Paramedic certification. • Licensure: Valid National Registry (NREMT) certification and a clean Texas driver’s license. • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in emergency medical services preferred; experience in sports medicine or special event medical coverage is a plus. • Physical Requirements: Ability to work outdoors in variable Panhandle weather conditions, lift at least 50 Lbs.. • Soft Skills: Strong communication skills and the ability to provide compassionate care to racers and their families in high-stress situations. Work EnvironmentThis is a full-time position located in the Texas Panhandle. Candidates must be available to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, to align with the racing season schedule. Job Type: Contract Pay: $20.00 per hour Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week Work Location: In person

Qualifications

  • Certification: Current Texas EMT-Basic, Advanced EMT, or Paramedic certification
  • Licensure: Valid National Registry (NREMT) certification and a clean Texas driver’s license
