MAJOR FOCUS:
The Event Staff Supervisor supports event operations by leading and supervising front-line event staff during race weekends and special events at Nashville Superspeedway. This role is responsible for maintaining a positive, safe, and efficient environment for guests and staff while assisting with operational setup, event execution, and teardown. Supervisors must be adaptable, self-motivated, and able to lead by example in a fast-paced, outdoor venue.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
• Supervise, support, and guide event staff during race weekends and assigned events
• Maintain a positive, professional attitude toward teammates, guests, and venue partners
• Serve as a point of contact for staff questions, issues, and problem resolution
• Assist the operations team with event setup and teardown as needed
• Monitor assigned areas to ensure safety, organization, and excellent guest experience
• Communicate clearly and follow instructions provided by Nashville Superspeedway staff
• Independently resolve issues when appropriate and escalate concerns when necessary
• Adapt to changing event needs and assist in other roles or areas as assigned
• Support staff check-in, scheduling, and shift coverage as needed
ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS:
Perform other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS /EDUCATION
Must be 18 years of age or older
• Must be able to pass a Motor Vehicle Report (MVR)
• Must be able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time
• Must be able to work both race weekends at Nashville Superspeedway
• Must be flexible and willing to work additional event weekends as assigned
• Ability to solve problems independently while following established procedures
• Strong communication and leadership skills
• Must be able to maintain knowledge of basic concepts and techniques
• Must be able to perceive quality of work
• Must be able to perceive emergency or distress signals
• Must be able to report to work on time as scheduled
• Must be able to work weekends, holidays, and nights as scheduled
• Must possess good English communication skills
• Must be able to successfully pass a background check
• Must present an overall professional appearance and report to work in appropriate attire
• Must be able to speak, read, and write English
