About the position As a Motorsports Program Engineer for Ford Motor Company, you will play a crucial role in the development and support of Ford Performance Motorsports sportscar programs. This position involves working across various programs, providing track-side support for both factory and customer initiatives, and engaging in engineering and development tasks for current and future projects. You will be at the forefront of innovation, utilizing design thinking and user experience methods to deliver exceptional products and services that resonate with our customers. Your contributions will help shape the future of motorsports, ensuring that we remain leaders in the industry. In this role, you will interface with Ford Performance Motorsports partners and customers, providing at-track support for GT3 and GT4 events both domestically and internationally. Your responsibilities will include supporting engineering development and testing, conducting timing analysis, and balancing performance metrics. You will assist in creating pre- and post-event metrics and reporting, develop tools to support engineers and teams, and manage program timelines for homologation and development. Additionally, you will support prototype and production builds as needed and lead problem-solving efforts to ensure rapid resolution of any issues that arise. This position requires a detail-oriented self-starter with a competitive spirit and a strong interest in professional motorsports. You will need to possess practical knowledge of race cars and sportscar competition, along with effective communication skills to work collaboratively with multiple suppliers in a fast-paced environment. Flexibility and a willingness to travel extensively, including weekends, are essential, as you will be required to hold or be eligible for a passport for both international and domestic travel.
