We’re currently seeking a Lead Motorsports Technician to grow our capability and capacity, while helping train the next generation of talent to see Rally Ready be a staple in the industry. Job Overview: As the Lead Motorsports Technician at Rally Ready Driving School, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the technical operations within our race car building shop. This position requires a combination of exceptional communication, technical expertise, and a passion for motorsports. You will lead a team of technicians in designing, fabricating, and building top level race and rally cars for clients, as well as assisting in repairing rally school class vehicles. Your hands-on approach and commitment to quality will help foster a positive work environment and contribute to the overall success of our client programs. This person will have a strong knowledge of motorsports, preferably with extensive experience in fabrication and Subaru performance. Experience in rally is preferred but not required. Key Responsibilities • Race Car Builds: Lead and develop client race car builds from fabrication to final assembly, ensuring top-tier quality and performance. • Fabrication: Perform advanced fabrication and welding tasks, including but not limited to roll cages, skid plates, suspension and chassis reinforcements. • Team Leadership & Mentorship: Direct and support the technician team through daily workflow, skill development, and clear communication. Promote a high-performance, collaborative, and solutions-focused culture. • Operational Coordination: Collaborate with the Shop Manager to provide technical insight to prioritize tasks, align workload, and ensure readiness for school programs and client projects. • Vehicle Maintenance: Assist junior technicians as necessary with service and repair of all fleet and race vehicles to maintain peak reliability and performance. • Inventory Oversight: Monitor and manage inventory to support timely repairs and builds. • Logistics Support: Assist with the movement and preparation of vehicles and equipment for events and client deliveries. • Safety & Shop Standards: Ensure a clean, organized, and compliant shop environment that supports safety and efficiency. • Other Duties: Tackle additional tasks as assigned by the Shop Manager or leadership. Required Qualifications: • 5+ years experience in motorsports, with a strong preference for rally-specific knowledge • Proficiency in fabrication and welding (MIG/TIG, chassis work, etc.) • Strong mechanical and diagnostic skills including electrical and data logging systems knowledge • Familiarity with Subaru platforms (Impreza, WRX, STI) • Passion for motorsports and performance driving Job Type: Full-time Pay: $35.00 - $40.00 per hour Benefits: • 401(k) • Employee discount • Health insurance • On-the-job training • Professional development assistance Schedule: • 8 hour shift • Weekends as needed Ability to Commute: • Dale, TX 78616 (Required) Ability to Relocate: • Dale, TX 78616: Relocate before starting work (Required) Work Location: In person

Qualifications

  • This person will have a strong knowledge of motorsports, preferably with extensive experience in fabrication and Subaru performance
  • 5+ years experience in motorsports, with a strong preference for rally-specific knowledge
