About the Job:
Motive Companies is seeking a qualified Development Engineer to join their team. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for developing plans for concepts and components, covering the entire product lifecycle from concept to production.
This role requires strong mechanical engineering skills, particularly in internal combustion engines or electrified power trains. You should also be familiar with fluid dynamics and thermodynamics. In addition, your experience in test planning, procedure writing, data acquisition, and analysis is essential.
Your expertise in powertrain or chassis dynamometer testing, data logging hardware and software, and test instrumentation will be highly valued. If you have a B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field, with an emphasis on internal combustion engines or electrified power trains, and relevant work experience, we would like to hear from you.
Responsibilities:
- Develop plans for concepts and components
- Cover the full product lifecycle from concept to production
- Test planning, procedure writing, data acquisition, and analysis
- Powertrain or chassis dynamometer testing, data logging hardware and software, and test instrumentation
Requirements:
- B.S. degree or equivalent work experience in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- Emphasis in internal combustion engines or electrified power trains and associated coursework such as fluid dynamics and thermodynamics
- 5 years experience with development and testing of powertrains including test planning, procedure writing, data acquisition and analysis
- Experience with powertrain or chassis dynamometer testing, data logging hardware and software, and test instrumentation a plus
Salary Information:
Weekly pay rate: $1,730.77 - $2,307.69 based on qualifications.
