Senior Motorsports Technician

Job description Overview – Motorsports Automotive Technician Fields Auto Works is a growing specialty sportscar chassis enterprise in Plain City, Ohio. We sell and construct new sportscar chassis packages in addition to supporting customer on-track activity. Under the supervision of the Operations Director, the Senior Technician will assemble new chassis, prepare drivetrains, and service customer vehicles both in the shop and at the track. Assembly and service responsibilities will include all aspects of vehicles including hardware, electrical, plumbing, and body. The Technician will have advancement opportunities as Fields Auto Works continues to grow and we encourage leadership development. Responsibilities - Motorsport chassis assembly, maintenance, and service - Drivetrain assembly, maintenance, and service - Performance street car modification, maintenance, and service - Support logistics including load/unload, setup and teardown at events, etc. - Support and occasionally manage direct customer relationships - Represent Fields Auto Works brand professionally and positively Desired Skills - Experience working with OE and motorsport management/data systems - Familiarity with metal fabrication practices and tools - Expert use of mechanic tools and tool maintenance - Basic machine tool setup and operation - Hose and hydraulic component assembly and installation - Electrical wiring and wiring loom installation - Basic metal and composite finishing skills - Read and understand technical drawings and specifications - Familiarity with Ferrari, BMW, Porsche, Audi, and other performance brands strongly preferred Requirements - 5 or more work years experience in racing or high performance automotive industry - Working knowledge of mechanical engineering concepts and terminology - Basic computer skills including MS Office and email - Must be able to work rapidly under pressure with minimal supervision - Must be able to understand and explain complex technical details - Must be able to travel at least 10 weekends per year - Must be able to stand for long periods of time and lift in excess of 70 lbs without restrictions - Must have valid driver’s license - High school diploma or GED, technical college or equivalent preferred - Must be eligible to work in the US Job Type: Full-time Pay: $65,000.00 - $105,000.00 per year Benefits: • 401(k) Schedule: • Day shift with occasional race related travel over weekend Application Question(s): • How many cylinders does a Cosworth DFV have? Qualifications

• 5 or more work years experience in racing or high performance automotive industry

• Working knowledge of mechanical engineering concepts and terminology
