As we continue to grow, we’re looking for a passionate and detail-oriented People Operations Coordinator to help drive our employee experience forward. The Role: We are seeking a People Operations Coordinator with 2–3 years of experience in a fast-paced startup environment. This hands-on role will support critical HR functions, including onboarding and offboarding, benefits administration, payroll coordination, and talent acquisition. You’ll work closely with the People & Culture team and cross-functional stakeholders to ensure a seamless and engaging employee experience throughout the lifecycle. Key Responsibilities: • Coordinate end-to-end onboarding and offboarding processes, ensuring smooth transitions for all new hires and departing employees. • Serve as the first point of contact for employee questions regarding benefits, policies, and procedures. • Support the administration of employee benefits, including enrollments, changes, and compliance tracking. • Assist with payroll processing by collecting and validating onboarding & offboarding data and collaborating with outside payroll processing. • Partner with hiring managers and the recruiting team to schedule interviews, maintain job postings, and support candidate experience. • Maintain accurate employee records and documentation in HR systems and personnel files. • Help execute employee engagement initiatives, HR communications, and ad hoc projects that enhance culture and retention. • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations related to employment. • Contribute to process improvement efforts in a fast-evolving environment. Requirements: • 2–3 years of HR/People Operations experience in a startup or high-growth company. • Familiarity with onboarding, offboarding, benefits administration, payroll coordination through a PEO, and basic recruitment processes. • Proficiency with HRIS systems and tools (e.g., BambooHR, Gusto, ADP, or similar platforms). • Highly organized with excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities. • Strong interpersonal and communication skills; comfortable working across teams and levels. • Proactive, resourceful, and excited to roll up your sleeves in a collaborative team environment. • Degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred. We are located close to the Empire State Building Salary range for this position is $45,000 to $55,000

Qualifications
